Title

The Mackenzie-Lewis polygraph

Description

This instrument, based on the one originally invented by Sir James Mackenzie, and further modified by Sir T. Lewis, has been improved to eliminate previous faults of lag and distortion of waveform through inertia of the moving parts, and the large volume of tambours and receiving chambers.
There follows a description of the modifications made to these features to correct these faults, and changes in design to increase accuracy. A detailed description of the instrument, and the way it works, together with specifications follow. Three examples of a printout from the recorder are reproduced at the end.
