Description

Of the three photographs of the instrument, the first, marked Fig. 1, shows the instrument’s control knobs, and a sample cardio-
graphic record being generated above them. Each significant part is given a number: there are fourteen in all.
The second photograph, marked Fig. 2, shows the same view of the instrument, with the cover over its roll of recording graph- paper opened to display its mechanism.
The third photograph, marked Fig. 3, shows the same view again of the instrument with the whole upper casing removed to demonstrate the layout of its component parts.
