Description

The salient features of this instrument include a comparison prism, and a mechanism for shortening the heighr of the spectrum to furnish a direct reading of the wave-length on a scale in any part of the spectrum, thus providing a means of obtaining generally applicable and comparable data

The camera attachment is a necessary supplement to the Abbe micro-spectroscope, serving to record photogrammetrically any absorption and emission spectra; and for measuring the thickness of silver coatings by determining the displacements of interference bands within the spectrum.
