Description Notes

Circular ebonite base; three brass levelling feet; four threaded brass terminals; circular bubble level; two brass columns supporting two pairs of vertical ebonite coil boxes; suspended magnets with mirror at the centre of the upper pair of coils, and magnets with aluminium vane at centre of the lower pair; cylindrical glass cover with brass top; adjustable vertical rod supporting controlling magnet; circular glazed window fitted to front of glass cover. With fragment of a paper note, handwritten and signed ‘G.F.C. Searle’.
Similar to Wh: 1328.

Condition: fair (suspension broken); incomplete (controlling magnet and vertical support rod and mirror missing).
