Description Notes
Mahogany case set on four felt-shod feet and glazed on three sides; white metal carrying handle. Lever catch at one end allows lid to hinge up to give access to the instrument. Cast iron base carries black plastic coil and brass drum containing clockwork mechanism. Expansion and contraction of the plastic coil moves the arm which carries the pen. Graph paper set around drum on which the changes in pressure are marked. Pen is set against paper by a rod which is operated by a lever on the underside of the instrument.
Condition good; complete.
