Description Notes

Similar to Wh: 4264, but without thermometer on top.

A Duddell-Mather standard Wattmeter - a measuring instrument of the dynamometer type. A coil pivots within an outer fixed coil and the torque on the suspension is measured by a torsion head, which is moved over a scale of degrees until the electromagnetic force is balanced. One coil carries the current feeding the load; the other the current through a high resistance or ‘shunt’ connected across the load.
