Description Notes

Radiation pyrometer, Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company, 1911.

Cylindrical aluminium case, partly painted black; connected with ball and socket joint to metal tube for tripod mounting; large aperture for incoming radiation, with swinging circular cover plate; adjustable eyepiece with swinging red filter; knurled screw on side with scale on ivorine disk, 3.5 to 25 ft., for distance focusing; glazed window showing white dial and pointer; temperature scale, 0 to 2 000 degrees Fahrenheit; pointer and concave mirror visible inside cylinder.
Similar to Wh: 4374.

Condition: fair; incomplete (pointer (and spiral?) missing; without tripod).
