Description Notes

Plug and decade rotary switch Wheatstone Bridge; made by Cambridge Instrument Company, c.1957.
Rectangular box with ebonite top (sealed); four plated brass and four ebonite covered terminals; two ebonite tapping keys; eight pairs of plug receptors, flush with surface, for the four pairs of proportional coils (10, 100, 1 000, and 10 000 ohms); three brass and ebonite plugs; six eleven-position rotary switches for series coils (0 to 1, 10, 100, 1 000, 10 000, and 100 000 ohms);

Condition: good; incomplete (five plugs missing)

Advertised by the Cambridge Instrument Company as their ‘Precision Switch Decade Bridge’, this Wheatstone bridge was capable of measuring electrical resistance between 0.01Ω and 100,000,000Ω.
