Portable, slide-wire DC Potentiometer, with built-in pivoted coil (‘Unipivot’) galvanometer; Camb. & Paul Inst. Co., c.1921;
Rectangular wooden box with hinged lid anbd leather carrying strap; ebonite top; two pairs of brass terminals for battery and unknow n potential, respectively; two tapping keys; rotary current rheostat; rotary six-position switch and rotary slide-wire calibrated in millivolts; glazed window showing galvanometer dial with mirror; zero adjustment and clamping screws. Two papers fastened inside lid: hand drawn graph of e.m.f.calibration; hand lettered ‘DIRECTIONS FOR USE’.
