Description Notes
Rectangular wooden case with hinged, locking, glazed door; two pairs of terminals on top, labelled ‘M’ and ‘G’ respectively, fifth terminal labelled ‘CC’; suspended coil D’Arsonval galvanometer with pointer connected to wheel of contact clock.
Condition: fine (galvanometer suspension intact, clockwork operational); complete.

Description
This galvanometer is similar to the upper part of the Wheatstone bridge Callendar recorder, and was used with the combined potentiometer and Wheatstone Bridge type of recorder (see Camb. Sc. Inst. Co. (1906) p. 14). The Ledger Book refers to ‘1 Callendar Recorder’, indicating that the two pieces of complete instrument were given the same serial number.
