Black-painted, sealed (wax seals with logo), rectangular metal box; central rotating ebonite knob with removable handle; brass pointer with vernier scale; semicircular composition scale marked in degrees of arc; three threaded brass terminals marked ‘FIXED PLATES’, ‘MOVING PLATES’, and ‘SCREEN’.
