Copper voltameter for measuring current flow in liquids, by W. G. Pye & Co., English, 1911.

copper voltameter consisting of a copper calorimeter with terminal attached, and a heavy copper anode adjustable for height , on a teak stand. The voltameter demonstrates current flow in liquids. At one time the basin would have contained mercury. A plastic plaque with the PYE logo and the text “W.G. PYE & Co.Ltd.,” “CAMBRIDGE,” “ENGLAND.” The plaque is held in place by four corner screws. At one time it appears that the copper bowl was covered with a white metal layer, this has worn away in most parts.

Condition good, some wear to the varnish on the teak base. There are copper salts in the bottom of the basin.
