Description Notes

Microid adaptable galvanometer in dark brown bakelite. The universal model for use in both a horizontal and vertical position - it has three feet in a triangular arrangement on both its back and base, these are of moulded bakelite. The system can be clamped in the horizontal position by the movement of a knob (“TURN TO CLAMP-->”) beneath the window at the back of the case . The window has a micro amps scale divided two ways on the top from left to right is 0 to 100 climbing in 10’s, on the bottom from the middle out to both the left and right we have 0 to 50 climbing in 10’s. Beneath the scale is “Griffin & George Ltd” to the left of the scale is “Serial No. A581/204” Res :- 50 [ohms abbreviation] B”, to the right is “Micro Amps” “For 1/2 Scale” and in hand writing “55”, below this is “Made in Gt. Britain”. The pointer is adjustable by a knurled head on the case. The mirror is carried on the back of a copper coil, opposite the window in the back plate.
