Description Notes

Circular wooden base with three brass levelling feet and three brass terminals marked ‘1’, ‘2’ and ‘3’. Scratched into the base is ‘2 = 6’ and ‘0 = 2’ in between the terminals. Brass clamping mechanism operated by knurled brass screw on base. Wooden standard supporting single fixed coil. Circular white porcelain dial on top of standard with full circle divided 0 - [400], numbered by 10, divided to 1. Metal pointer connected to secondary coil via suspending spring and shaft. One cup in centre of base holds mercury for electrical connection to moving coil. Cylindrical glass cover with glazed wooden top.
