Description Notes
Printed line drawings, and coloured drawings.
Bottom left and bottom centre are line drawings of cell structure, probably of leaves (there are chloroplasts). The palisade layer is labelled, and other layers are labelled with letters (‘M.E.’, ‘H.E.’, ‘Kl.’, ‘Sch.’).
Top left and top centre are coloured cross-sections of the seed (I and II; in II, the embryo is just germinating). Parts are labelled either with words, or letters. Between the diagrams are five B&W images of starch particles, and there are three more to the right. Further to the right are coloured drawings of the outside of the seeds shown in I and II on the left. Down the right side, diagram III shows a mature plant from leaves to roots. Parts are labelled with words or abbreviations.
