Diagrams 1a and 1b are top left: external views of a pea seed (yellow), with plumule and radicle labelled ‘pl’ and ‘r’ on 1b.
Diagram 2 is top centre: germinating pea, root growing down the page, small shoot above. (yellow and green)
Diagram 3 is far right: germinated pea, beneath the ground, with well-developed root and shoot.
Diagram 4 is left centre: detailed cell structure line drawing with some shading. Features marked with letters.
Diagram 5 is bottom centre: less detailed cell sturcture line drawing, of different part, possibly leaf (?). Has distinct layers, labelled with letters.
Diagram 6 is bottom left, headed ‘ungek.’: 11 misshapen round objects, with contour lines or tree rings inside.
Diagram 7 is top, towards right (between 2 and 3), headed ‘gek.’: possibly of the same objects as 6, but external views, and the objects are splitting to release or reveal dark material inside.
