Description Notes

Printed line drawings, with yellow, brown and green in some diagrams.
Diagrams 1, 2 and 3 are top left, colour representations of germination: 1 shows seed just in the earth, with young root; 2 shows older root, with seed raised above grund by the growing shoot; 3 shows mature plant, leaves have developed, and old seed coat is discarded. There are some labels, mostly single letters.
Diagram 4 is bottom left: three colour cross-section of seed, with layers labelled with letters.
Diagram 5 is the entire right side: detailed cell-level structure of something with distinct layers. Labels are single letters on left side.
Title at top, inside frame.
