Description Notes

Unlabelled hand drawn line diagrams of parts of Acer.
The chart shows seven stages in the maturation of Acer, starting top right with a sycamore wing; two top centre diagrams are cross-scetions through the seed, which is just starting to germinate in the left one; top left, the seed has been discarded, and the young plant has a small root, and two immature leaves.
Most of the chart is taken up by three representations of the more mature plant.
Left is the young plant, with barely developed leaves, an intermediate stage is in centre, while right has well-developed roots, and fully-grown leaves.
Title ‘Acer’ bottom centre.
Ref number bottom right.
