Description Notes
Five printed line drawings, with some brown shading.
‘1.’ and ‘2.’ are fill the lower half, both show layers of cells with cork growth. Layers of tissue are labelled with letters.
‘3.’, ‘4.’ and ‘5’ run across the top, each showing half a dozen cells. ‘3’ shows cells which are already corkified, while the other two have brown lines running across some of the sub-epidermal cells.
