Description Notes

Watercolour in browns, showing various representations of spores of the Phytophera fungus.
Four large sacs occupy the left side, in a sequence running from bottom to top showing the change in contents from a granular homogeneous mix, to the formation of five spores, which then burst out of the sac.
Eight smaller pictures fill the middle, showing different stages in the development of the spore.
The large diagram on the right shows a spore which has grown a tube, and another cell.
The diagrams have numbers written next to them (eg 6.14, 11.35, 4.55) which have no units or explanation.
Presentation label in top right.
