Description Notes

Printed line drawings of the form of stomata in four species. Diagram IV is schematic, while the other three are cell-level details of the structure of the stomata, with some shading, and green chloroplasts.
The diagrams are labelled I to IV, with the species names for them given across the bottom. The parts of the diagrams are also labelled (in German) with the names of the cells, tissues or areas (ie in contrast to some of the other German publishers, who either do not label, or who use only initial letters).
I. Hakea takes up most of the top of the chart.
II. Cypridium is bottom right.
III. Cucurbita is bottom left.
IV. Allium is centre (line drawing only)
The diagrams are placed closely together, so that it is not always clear where one ends and the next begins.
Originally printed in two halves, and mounted on the same backing cloth.
Good condition
