Botanical wallchart showing leaf ontogeny in tobacco, a continuation of chart 4947, tentatively attributed to Avery, English, c. 1930-1967.
Black ink line drawings of longitudinal sections of growing leaves, with small cross-sections drawn alongside their point of section (three or four per longitudinal section).
There are four longitudinal sections, numbered 7-10, and increasing in size.
7 and 8 are on the left, 9 in the middle, and 10 on the right.
A scale bar is marked bottom centre: 130mm = 1mm.
Numbers 1-6 of the sequence are on chart 4947, at a larger scale.
