Description Notes

Black ink line drawings of longitudinal sections of growing leaves, with small cross-sections drawn alongside their point of section (between two and four per longitudinal section).
There are six longitudinal sections, numbered 1-6, and increasing in size from a small bump, to a tall almost-leaf shape.
1-3 run down the left side, 4 and 5 are in the middle, and 6 is on the right.
A scale bar is marked top right: 320mm = 1mm.
Numbers 7-10 of the sequence are on chart 4946, at a smaller scale.
