Description Notes

Eight colour pictures on a black background (inside a white frame) of parts of Theobroma.
Main diagram is a picture of the upper part of the plant i.e. stem, leaves, flowers, fruit.
Around it are seven numbered diagrams:
1. (top right) cross-section through flower, showing anthers and stamen; ‘Durchschnitt der Blüte’
2. (top left) showing anthers hanging out of the flower; ‘Staubgefässröhre’
3. (top centre) detail of one petal; ‘einzelnes Blumenblatt’
4. (bottom left) close up of the anther, showing pollen grains; ‘fruchtbares Staubblatt’
5. (bottom left) lifesize view of the partially dissected fruit; ‘geöffnete Frucht’
