Description Notes
Six printed colour diagrams of fruit and flowers of members of Myrtaceae and Lecythideae.
1. Top left, flower of Myrtus communis L. with lots of anthers.
2. Bottom left, flower of Calothamnus quadrifidis R. Br.
3. Top centre, cross-section through flower of Carophyllus aromaticus L.
4. Bottom centre, cut away of fruit of Pimenta officinalis Berg
5. Top right, fruit of Eucalyptus cornuta Lab.
6. Bottom right, cut away fruit of Bertholletia nobilis Miers.
The diagrams are numbered and labelled with species names, also with scales.
The name of ‘Newmann’ seems to be ink stamped onto the printed chart.
Chart has brass reinforced holes at the corners (to allow it to be hung by string).
Good condition.
