Description Notes
Printed line diagrams, with yellow shading on two of the diagrams.
Twelve diagrams showing the development at a cell-level detail of an acorn-shaped growth. The catalogue for the diagrams calls this one ‘glandular hairs in Humulus’, though the mature structure doesn’t look very like a hair.
Diagrams 1-10 (bottom left, top left, then bottom right) show the organ beginning to grow above the level of the surrounding cells. 1-4, and 7-8 are side-views, 5,6,9,10 are cross-sections, showing the circular form of the structure.
11 and 12 are the main diagrams (top right and bottom left), and show the cross and longitudinal sections of the developed structure, in yellow. By 12, the thing is acorn-shaped.
Good condition.
