Printed line diagram showing cellular detail in a cross-section through the wood of an oak tree.
Tissues and some features are marked and labelled with German abbreviations.
MS pencil labels in English have been added later: medullary ray, fibre, living parenchyma across the bottom, and tracheid and vessel at right.
Species name is hand painted at the bottom.
Top right, to left of printed heading: embossed impression of coat of arms, surmounted with eagle, bearing motto ‘coll. christi cant’
Fair condition.
