Description Notes

Nine printed colour diagrams in greens and yellows of the fruits and flowers of Humulus, labelled a to h. (including a1).
Main picture is a, in centre, shows upper part of plant, leaves, and ripe fruit.
a1 is bottom right, shows fruit.
b (top left) shows a twig of male flowers.
c (top left) shows a close-up of a male flower.
d (top right) shows a detail of female flowers.
e (centre left) shows a close-up of female flowers.
f (centre left) shows a “two-flowers” ‘Deckblatt’ from the inside.
g (bottom left) shows the outside of a fruit.
h (bottom left) shows the seed (?)

On reverse, centre, a label is stuck giving printer’s details, and a key to the diagrams overleaf. All script is Gothic font, except the Latin species name, which is Roman.
