Description Notes

Black ink line drawings, some shading, of parts of Psilotum and Lycopodium.
Psilotum is at top: three diagrams.
Top is a round organ growing on a neck out from the above layer of cells.
Top right is an elongated round mass of cells, with ‘hairs’ growing out of some cells.
Left centre is the same organ, but at a more advanced stage, and at lower resolution.
Lycopodium is at the bottom: three diagrams.
Left and right show the bulb beginning to unfolded and grow.
Centre shows a young plant from roots to leaf tips.
The chart is very badly torn - repairs have been made previously by sticking on pieces of pages of typescript at the back. The pages seem to be from botany lectures, although only small parts are legible.
There are also pencil MS words scribbled on the back, which don’t seem to relate to the diagram.
Poor condition.
