Description Notes

Slate board for recording navigation information on a ship, C19th.

Double slate in double folding wooden (mahogany ?) frame with brass hinges. One slate cracked. The other engraved with columns, headed:
‘H K F Courses Winds LW’.
Column ‘H’ has numbers 2 to 24 by 2.
