Circular [lignum vitae] base with central aperture; 3 turned brass legs to horn collar with central screw thread; lignum vitae snout with external screw thread; ferrule for pasteboard body covered with unstained vellum; field lens in oak mount; push fit draw tube over pasteboard body covered with morocco decorated with gold tooling; turned lignum vitae eyepiece; lens and dust cap mentioned; forming a box with a lid, turned from lignum vitae.
