Description Notes

Brass beam divided 0 - 122 by 1 to 0.1 and 0 - 244 by 1 to 0.1. Vernier reading to 0.01 and 0.02 at a scale of 5 and 10 chains to the inch. (vernier reading to 1 and 2 links). Zero index (badly rusted) with fitting for protracting pin; pin with knurled brass head, rusted into fitting. Sliding index with clamp, slow motion screw vernier and fitting for protracting pin.
Shaped and fitted mahogany case with sliding lid.
