Description Notes

Comparator with 2 micrometer microscopes on oxidized brass mountes, one microscope for reading standard scale, the other for the object: both have eyepieces on draw tubes, the latter only can be focussed by rack and pinion moving the microscope. Both drumheads divided to 100 parts. Brass bed mounted on cast tripod stand, slide plate moved by hand or by screw, with clamping screw. Object slide plate moveable independently of scale by screw. Standard scale of 100mm divided on stell to 0.1mm and by micrometer microscopes to 0.001mm. Fitted wooden box.
