Description Notes

Rectangular transparent celluloid scale with central section giving lengths representing particular distances for different scales; distances range from 100 yards to 1 mile, scales range from 1 inch : mile to 8 inches : mile. At right hand edge the scales are given as 1/x and marked ‘Nat Scale’. Scale of inches on upper edge, divided [0] - 8, numbered by 1, subdivided to 0.1. Scale down right hand edge marked ‘R F’ (rational fractions), giving fractions from 1/8000 to 1/50000.

Condition good (slightly warped); complete.
