Description Notes
2 identical rectangular boxwood protractors with bevelled edges. Degree scale around three edges, divided [1] - [179] in both directions, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚. Fourth edge has centimetre scale divided 0 - 14, numbered by 1, subdivided to 0.1. Centre occupied by four map scales - 1:1000, 1:1250, 1:1500 and 1:2000. Also a scale of chords, marked ‘CHO’, divided [0] - 90, numbered by 10, subdivided to 1.
Reverse has five more map scales for 1:500, 1:600, 1:700, 1:800 and 1:900. Also a second scale of chords, marked ‘C’ and otherwise identical to that on obverse. Lower part of reverse has scales for centimetres and 2 centimetres with transversal scales at ends for division to hundredths.
Condition good; complete.
