Description Notes

Rectangular sheet of transparent celluloid. Left hand side marked with semicircular protractor, divided [0] - [180˚] and [180˚] - [360˚], numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚; grid in lefthand quadrant marked ‘1/20000 yards’ and divided into 100 squares, numbered 2, 4, 6, 8 on two sides.
Towards right hand edge are a series of ten scales each divided 0 - [6000], numbered by 1000, subdivided to 100. Scale of ‘feet’ marked down right hand edge in 1000s from 9000 to 0.
Scale along bottom edge marked ‘1/20000 yards’, divided 0 - 4500, numbered by 500, subdivided to 100.
