Description Notes
White celluloid square carrying degree scale divided 0 - [360], numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 5˚; also marked with 8 points of the compass. Over this rotates a white celluloid disc marked with degree scale divided [0] - 90˚ - 0 - 90˚ - [0], numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 5˚; also two further scales for wind speed, one for head or following wind, and one for lateral wind. Centre gives conversion chart between miles per hour and feet per second. The scales on the disc are also printed on the base underneath the disc.
Reverse carries instruction for use of instrument.
Condition fair (very warped, discoloured); complete.
