Description Notes

White celluloid rectangle.
Obverse: plot of distance in yards against height (in feet and in metres), with curves showing ‘degrees of quadrant elevation divided into 10 minutes’. Vertical scale on left marked ‘height in metres’, divided -50 - 0 - 100, numbered by 5. Vertical scale on right marked ‘height in feet’, divided [-160] - 0 - [320], numbered by 50, subdivided to 10. Horizontal scale at top and bottom, marked ‘distance in yards’ (at bottom), divided [500] - 29[00] yards, numbered by 100 yards.
Reverse: range table, wind table and elevation table. Also ‘scale of inches’ divided 1 - 0 - 3, numbered by 1, first inch divided by transversal scale to hundredths.

Condition good (discoloured, very slight warping); complete.
