‘DUFTON’S Clock Code Converter’ (MS at top of obverse)
Description Notes
Rectangular white card, stitched together with thread, the back plate being a postcard; marked with diagonal lines and lateral scales, numbered 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 400 at top and bottom. Sliding over this are two transparent celluloid sheets (one missing) with longitudinal lines. In the centre rotates a small circular dial, numbered 1 - 12 clockwise and marked ‘N’ at 12. On the main plate at top and bottom scale divided 9000 - 1000 - 9000, numbered 9000, 6000, 3000, 2000, 1000, 2000, 3000, 6000, 9000, divided to 1000.
Condition poor (stitching unravelling); incomplete (one of celluloid sheets missing).
