Description Notes

Boxwood slide rule.
Face A: upper part of stock has single radius log scale marked ‘A’ divided 1 - 10 numbered 1, 1[.]1 ... 2, [2.]5 ... 10. Gauge point marked ‘IMB’. Slide has identical scale marked ‘B’ with gauge point marked ‘ING’. Lower part of stock carries inverted single radius log scale marked ‘MD’ divided 2 - [22] numbered 2, [2.]5 ... 10, 11 ... 2[0] with gauge point marked ‘IMB’.
Face B: single radius log scale begins on upper part of stock and continues on lower marked ‘D’ and divided 1 - 10 numbered 1, 1[.]1 ... 3[.]2, [3.]5, 4 ... 10. Slide has single radius log scale marked ‘C’ identical to those on face A.
Edge A: Double radius log scale begins on upper part of stock and continues on lower marked ‘Segt St’ and ‘SS’ divided [.8] - 100 numbered 1, [1.]5 ... 5, 6 ... 10, 15 ... 100. Slide has single radius log scale marked ‘B’ divided 1 - [9.5] numbered as on face A. Reverse of slide has tables of divisors, gauging points and factors.
Edge B: Double radius log scale beginning on upper part of stock and continuing on lower marked ‘Segt Ly ‘ and ‘SL’ divided [0.3] - 100 numbered [0.]5, 1 ... 5, 6 ... 10, 15 ... 100. Slide hsa single radius log scale marked ‘C’ divided as that on edge A. REverse of slide has 3 scales: inch scale divided [0] - [12] numbered by 1 subdivided to 0.1; scale marked ‘Sphd’ divided [0] - [7.5] numbered by subdivided to 0.1; scale marked ‘2d Variety’ divided [0] - [6.5] numbered by 1 subdivided to 0.1.

Each slide has one brass bound end.
