proportional compasses, by Jesse Ramsden, c. 1770 - c. 1800
Brass proportional compasses with inset steel points and knurled brass clamping screw. Engraved with 4 scales: ‘Lines’ divided 1-10 by 1, ‘Circles’ divided 6-20 by 1, ‘Plans’ divided 1-10 by 1, ‘Solids’ divided 1-10 by 1. Steel points on end of shafts.
Condition: fair.
