Description
The International Gas Exhibition took place at Earl's Court, London from 19th November to 17th December 1904. It aimed to exhibit various appliances for lighting, cooking, heating, and other purposes and demonstrate the progress made by the gas industry. Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company exhibited several of its products, including a Whipple Temperature Indicator (designed by the Museum's founder Robert Stewart Whipple), which could be used in furnace work and with gas retorts.
