Description Notes

Gregorian reflecting telescope. Black leather covered brass barrel with friction-tight cover. Screw-in eye-end with screw-in eyepiece. Eyepiece had screw-on pinhole. Eyepiece lenses in threaded brass mounts. Speculum metal primary mirror held by 3 blued steel springs. Focus by long screw from eye-end moving speculum metal secondary mirror. Barrel secured by 2 wing nuts to ball and socket joint on pillar stand screwed into brass mount on fitted oak box.
