Description Notes
Brass; folding tribach foot; turned brass column; compass joint; square limb; swinging concave mirror on shoe round limb; square stage on racked column within limb, operated by knurled ivory screw; brass clips; cone below stage [cast in one piece] with slot [for slider]; body screwed to bar at the head of the limb; tapered nosepiece wide body; screw fit collar with lip within body; draw tube with screw fit collar; push fit eyepiece; 2 screw fit objectives; live box; alternative eyepiece. Fitted wooden box - but stage does not fit easily. (Described as ‘Sellignes achromatic’ in Heywood handlist. Objects do not appear to be achromatic.)
