Description Notes
Oxidised brass tripod type foot to horseshoe with pivot supporting a dovetailed limb; which carries all the elements swinging plano / concave mirror on a double pivot; substage unit for condenser with knurled screws operating slight horizontal and lateral motions; square stage with 2 knurled screws operating lateral and horizontal motions; revolving diaphragm dial below; pierced plate carries body; draw tube; chain operated focussing with knurled screw either side and rod handle; draw tube with 3 marks.
[Fitted] wooden box in which instrument does not fit with 4 eyepieces 2 objectives (1” and 1/4”) in signed brass cylinders one signed and dated 1860; stage forceps; brush; double objective mount; (plus various other accessories which may not belong).
