Brass column screws into brass plate in lid of box; rectangular profile; sliding shoe with screw clamp carries stage and swinging concave mirror; swinging substage aperture control; second shoe carries mount for body; fine motion screw at head of column; screw fit three part compound objective; 2 screw fit compound eye pieces.
