Description Notes

Brass; circular base, lead weighted; square racked column; swinging plano/concave mirror on short arm; octagonal stage with large aperture fittings for forceps etc. on shoe with knurled pinion; arm at head of column; screw fit body with field lens and screw fit eyepiece; screw fit objective with 2 lenses fitting on top of each other but badly corroded (whole instrument in very poor condition).
Fitted wooden box; 5 objectives for use as a simple microscope ‘4’, ‘3’ and 2 x ‘5’’ alternative stage with rotating diaphragm; stage condenser; tweezers; assortment of glass slides. 3 sets of slides, one set in French and two by ‘Jh. BOURGOGNE’.
