Claw-foot / kettledrum stand; black finish; brass fittings; brace between two uprights with bar for supporting the microscope in a horizontal position; pivoting joint; circular stage with knurled brass ring graduated 0-(360) by 10 to 1 with vernier to 5’; stage clips; polariser with graduated flange 0-360 by 15; (error 317 instead of 315); swinging plano/concave mirror on tubular tail piece; moulded column to cranked limb; pair of knurled brass coarse focus screws either side of limb; fine focus screw at the head of the column (0) - 5mm to 0.1 with index on back of the limb; wide body; push fit eyepiece; detachable collar with 3 brass screw clamps; lever operated analyser within body; slot with brass cover for slider [micrometer]; double nose piece; 2 objectives in brass cases, both signed, 1 In and 1/4 In.
