Description Notes

Green shagreen (rayskin) case with silver mounts, clip fastening and name plate containing six instruments.
1. Ivory scale divided [0] - [180] and [180] - [0] by 10 to 1 and with a scale of CHORDS [0] - 90 by 10 to 1. Verso: scale of divisions of half and inch with diagonal scales.
2. Ivory sector divided 0 - 100 (?) along edge; 6 inch, engraved with lines of sines, tangents, and numbers. Engraved verso with chords 0 - 60, secants and inches 0 - 12.
3. Dividers; brass handles with steel tips (fine adjustment screw (?); 2-2-2000).
4. Brass ink bows (small).
5. Brass ink bows on compass point, steel tips.
6. Brass ink bows (large).
Two spare shafts, one with hinge, file in case (2 elements missing).
(Three elements missing (?); 2-2-2000).

Condition: fair; incomplete (3 elements missing; 2-2-2000).
