Description Notes

Steel beam and fittings; box beam ends; self-locating steel knife edge and ring bearings. Index above; gallows with ring bearing and double aperture. (Letters scratched above apertures; 25-1-2000). Brass suspension ring. Two circular brass pans with suspension cords. Wooden box with slots for 6 circular weights. Hinged brass lid over slot for fractional weights. No weights extant. Box lined with striped cotton; clip fastenings. (Pencilled list of weights inside box lid; 25-1-2000).

Condition: good/fair; incomplete (weights missing).
